"walk" - fruit collective | Review

It is the best feeling in the world when you press play on a song and the world just goes on pause.

"walk" is the debut release from Zoom-formed band fruit collective. With influence from artists like Still Woozy, Anderson Paak, and Mac Miller, it is clear that this lofi pop track is just the beginning for this new group. fruit collective is an emerging lo-fi pop/r&b group that formed in March 2021. Written virtually over a 3 hour call, their debut single “walk” encompasses the emotional spectrum felt during the pandemic. Delivering heavy subject matter in an ambient, lighthearted package that is easy listening for a lap around the neighborhood or a car ride with friends, “walk” is a perfect addition to any chill, lofi, or indie playlist. Already preparing a debut 2021 EP, fruit collective is a name to keep on your radar.

The track just drips with golden hour feels. I feel like it captures that rose-colored glasses and a mental visual that feels like honey. If you need a new chill summer track to enjoy the warm weather, "walk" is for you,

Originating from Zoom breakout room between three strangers during a Quadio songwriting workshop this past March, the cross-country collaboration quickly evolved into what is now known as fruit collective.
