“Waiting” is a euphoric electropop track, very reminiscent of The 1975’s experimental 2020 album, Notes On A Conditional Form, particularly similar to boundary-pushing tracks “Shiny Collarbone”, “Having No Head”, and “What Should I Say”.
The synths combine with the hazy female vocals to create an incredibly unique sound. The crisp production makes it feel as though the song is coming to life directly in front of you. “Waiting” feels like going on a drive with the windows down on a hot summer night.
