Lisa Crawley brings listeners new single "The Right Way" which is a beautiful narrative single about doing the right things the right way.
This is a single for the overthinkers. It is soothing and simple. It is almost too perfect to be a song about not having the right thing to say. Crawley has a very nonchalant way about her singing, it is effortless and floating. I am in love with this single.
“The Right Way” from indie-pop chanteuse Lisa Crawley was co-written and produced with Grammy-nominated Rob Kleiner. Lisa and Rob bonded over Jon Brion, The Dresden and The Office (UK). These are just some of the iconic cultural influences that forged the creative process behind “The Right Way”.
‘The Right Way’ is about longing for the confidence and articulation to say the right words at the right time, particularly within relationships, rather than letting self-doubt and anxiety get in the way. But even more so, the song is about trying to live and accept that it might always be that way to some extent, and that that’s okay. The music video represents this with different versions of myself self-reflecting, by both taking a literal look in the mirror and turning inward to find the answers. "
