"Tell All Your Friends" - Magic Bronson |Review

Los Angeles born-and-based duo Magic Bronson return to the forefront of the indie-pop rock scene as they prepare to release their upcoming album. The duo are here with the first single from the project, "Tell All Your Friends," a timely tune that celebrates the power of friendship in the midst of the uncertainty and chaos we're all currently experiencing.

"Tell All Your Friends" is a vibey synthed indie track. I love this sort of song for a spring or summer release, it just feels easy and warm. Lyrically, this track is anthemic and simple but it hits home. Vocally, that perfect indie/rock/pop sound that fans love.

New single "Tell All Your Friends" is that get-out-of-your-seat anthem we're craving right now. Experimental in sound - mixing elements of rock, pop, grunge and electronic - the track explores the very nature of today's reality. Nicastro sings, "This is the time of mass confusion/don't blink, you might miss the illusion." It's a fantastic mix of weird and cool, indie and mainstream, and there is something about the chaos that's inexplicably comforting. Magic Bronson continue to spearhead music trends, tackling social issues and the anxiety of what's going on in the world and coupling it with sensational and experimental melodies. Self-described as 'profoundly uneasy', Magic Bronson takes unnerving and anxious energy and channels it into songs that ultimately lift you from a place of uneasiness.

No one can accuse the multi-talented duo of coloring within the lines when it comes to making music. They write without boundaries, with lyrics sprung from whatever miscarriage of justice they perceive in the world. Their winning combination of lyrics and melody-making has earned their songs coveted placements in numerous movies and television shows that include The Rookie, Suits, You're the Worst, and the feature film Certain Women with Michelle Williams and Kristen Stewart. Of particular note was their 2017 track "Nervous," about "All the things that make you nervous/crooked cops and guilty verdicts." The song sprang to life after Kendall and Kylie Jenner used it to soundtrack an Instagram ad for their fashion line. It was played on rotation in New York City taxi cabs during the Spring 2017 Fashion Week and currently has over 5 million streams on Spotify alone. Comprised of Matt Lieberman (bass, synths and lyricist) and Michael Nicastro (vocals, synths, production and lyricist) Magic Bronson began back in 2012 when the fated musical duo met at a neighborhood bar. Both Lieberman and Nicastro were involved in other musical projects but were looking for something new to do - and thus Magic Bronson was born. Together, they turned out to be greater than the sum of their parts. A classic pairing of opposites. With a commanding stage presence, three EP's, a full-length album, write up's in publications like Billboard, Earmilk, and KCRW, plus dozens of placements on both the large and small screen, Magic Bronson has amassed a legion of diehard fans that gobble up their music and turn out for their shows en masse. Frequently on the marquee at LA-based venues such as The Echo, Troubadour, and Satellite, the band's live shows ooze personality. Nicastro, who stands tall at 6' 6" and uses two mics to inhabit each song, puts on a performance that makes it nearly impossible to look away. "I think of Mike as a gorilla in the zoo," jokes Lieberman. "He's so intense on stage that the audience is always holding their breath, afraid he might break through the barrier at any minute."
