The immensely talented duo FARR are bringing their A-game. The transatlantic duo (by way of L.A. and London) are kicking off the new year with their new single "Heal Me" from their forthcoming album, Weightless (due out Feb 7, 2020). FARR, comprised of vocalist Roméo and producer Linden Jay (who has also produced for Rejjie Snow, LION SNOW, RITUAL and more) met back in 2016 at a studio session that would soon snowball into the beginning of an incredible hybrid electronic project. Separated by oceans, the duo write and create their music via voice notes and memos and the album is a stellar by-product of that.
FARR put a fearless twist on alternative pop and electronic soul music unlike anything heard today. New single "Heal Me" showcases Roméo's stunning, soulful voice accompanied by grungy guitar, a gospel choir, and downtempo R&B production. By far one of the best tracks from this duo so far, "Heal Me" is medicine for the soul. Born from London loneliness, the track is full of heartfelt longing for missed loved ones.
Speaking more on the track, Romeo says "We're so excited for this track to be out. I originally wrote this one with Carl Barat and Olly Burden during the same trip to London that I met Linden on. After a big night out I dragged myself to the studio across London and wrote the song between cold sweats. This was my longest and first trip alone to another country and felt pretty alone in London, so we ended up with this visceral love song about when you're away from someone you love for a long time."
The global duo just finished touring with Aussie trailblazer Hayden James throughout Europe and Australia and are embarking on a tour with the multi-platinum artist Kelis on her European Tour. Check out tour dates below.
