Wow-what a song.
I really, REALLY think Hunter Moreau’s voice sounds EXACTLY like Zoey Deschanel but a little bit better (don’t tell anyone). The beat is everything in this song - fast, slow, fast, and slow. I loved it.
The beat sounds very close to a mix of the Weeknd and Maggie Rogers…
And who doesn’t like both of them? Even better both of them together!
Moreau stated; “As simple as it may sound, ‘Hazy’ is about the pure bliss of summer nights.” I definitely see this. The beat is fast, but when slow it has a soothing entity about it. Hazy screams an outdoor “rooftop” party during a very humid summer day.
Moreau grew up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, singing at an early age. She was actually part of a community singing troupe called the Showstoppers. In an interview, Moreau explained that the troupe group “taught me how to be a performer, not just as a singer - taught me how to keep working on my craft.”
If she keeps on excelling like this on her craft her ceiling is very, VERY high. Make sure to watch out for Hunter Moreau on the top charts VERY soon.
