‘Frequency’ - Matilda Ella | Review

With its groovy bassline and old school feel the track brings back house music of the 90’s. The songs addictive hook paired with Matilda Ella’s uplifting vocal couldn’t have been a better match.

With a total Calvin Harris, Zedd, Dua Lipa type of feel, Matilda brings us a great end of summer party song. Perfectly pop, this track is danceable and one you will want to blast in the car. The beat is contagious and it will make you want to get up and move. A catchy hook and powerful production, it is was Matilda Ella does best.

Born in Rydaholm, Sweden the talented 20-year-old singer, songwriter and performer began playing music at the age of 3 when she got her first guitar.

Matilda developed and grew as an artist through competing in singing competitions all around Sweden which helped build her presence and confidence on stage. Her hard-working attitude and infectious energy drew the interest of major labels as she was scouted at 15 years old for the Ace of Base cover band ”Abase”. In 2015 the group split up and Matilda decided to go her own ways and focus on her solo work.

She counts girl-power artists like Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson and Little Mix as her influences. ”My music is about letting everything go, being carefree and just having fun. It doesn’t have to be too complicated or too serious” says Matilda.
