There was no doubt in our minds then that the singer of “Guns and Gold” was a pure power house with so much to say. Danai has tackled topics of female empowerment, love, and now cycles of abuse.
In her new single, “Daughter”, Danai’s powerhouse vocals belt out a moving story of abuse, both witnessed and experienced. The songs relatable lyrics cause listeners to ask themselves where they have seen these toxic relationships play out in their own lives or in the lives of those they love. Looking at the in the moment experience and a chorus that flashes forward to the future, Danai is able to create a way for listeners to think about their impact on the future.
Danai’s single Daughter marks the 4th single release from her upcoming EP Real Lies. All of Sophia’s music has a trend of instilling a sense of deserved respect. Her mix of catchy pop and powerful storytelling lyrics create the perfect combination for impact for this incredible artist. “Real Lies” is set to be released March 29th, 2019.
