“Run Wild” - Bobby Marks | Review

Electro-pop fans your new anthem is here! “Run Wild,” by Bobby Marks, out August 12, is sure to be a new playlist topper for anyone who just can’t get enough of that special someone.

Released as the answer to Marks’ 2020 song, “Perfect For You,” a song about meeting someone you’re interested in but too shy to talk to, “Run Wild,” is about knowing what you want and “not being afraid to approach the guy that I like anymore,” says Marks.

The track immediately opens with a pulsing beat physically moving you along with the opening line, "I'd run a marathon to get to your body". It's a club anthem that provides the perfect soundtrack for winning over the one you've been eyeing across the dance floor.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge electro-pop fan, but Marks really did it with this one. I love “Run Wild,” it’s catchy and fun, and it makes me feel confident. I think listeners will feel like they can get whoever they want when listening to “Run Wild,” just like Marks intended.

Marks grew up in a small suburban town as a closeted gay kid. His answer to that? Pop music. Lots of it. Based out of Los Angeles, CA, Marks studied at Berklee College of Music and is now a songwriter and producer. Marks believes that “pop music should be taken seriously.”
