Harvey Brittain is back with his sixth single this year “obsessed”. An indie-pop banger just in time for the summer, “obsessed” came to be due to a messy situationship; something we can all relate to. Harvey states the relationship felt doomed from the start and he wanted the production to match that energy so he built it around an ambient guitar loop and a warm pad, while the outro had a distorted guitar and synth that melts everything together.

Brittain is a twenty-three year old singer-songwriter & producer born in the UK. Harvey’s debut project ‘my heart keeps score’ releases June 27th. It’s more raw and emotional then polished and explores his evolution from playing pub gigs in Preston, UK to finding his footing in the chaos of Los Angeles.

It’s hard not to be obsessed with this track truthfully, from the start it hits you with a beautiful piano loop followed by stunning vocals. Everyone can relate to falling for the wrong person or it being the wrong time and this song explores that perfectly. Lyrics like “Babe I think I’ve forgotten / We’re only friends cause we’re more tonight / I know I’ll leave broken hearted / I know you’ll leave me a wreck / But fuck it now I’m obsessed” It’s a story you can follow along with so easily and we can’t wait to hear what else is on the project!
