Chris Youmans is back with his latest release “Heart of a Lie,” out September 9, 2022. The new single is a follow-up to Youmans earlier song “Too Close.” This new electro-pop anthem is sure to get you on your feet with a catchy chorus and an excellent beat!
Youmans hails from Santa Cruz and studied music at UC Berkeley. Music was part of his life from a young age, with Youmans learning to play the guitar at just age five. Inspired by many musicians, Youmans biggest musical inspiration is Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.
Overall, I love this song, I think it’s a great pairing with “Too Close,” and it is the perfect song to add to any going-out playlist. I love how the lyrics aren’t as upbeat as the rest of the song. The contrast really plays out nicely and I think Youmans did a wonderful job with this.
