“Fools” - CRONICLE | Review

CRONICLE is bringing you a new genre-crossing hit from Sweden.

The second single for the artist, the track is beautiful electropop with the depth of R&B. Capturing airy 90’s vibes with a powerful build in the track, CRONICLE is bringing something new to light with ‘Fools’. The chorus is catchy but not in the annoying major pop single kind of way, it has the right flow and vibe to resonate with the listener. Fans of Robyn, Lykke Li and Tove Lo will not be disappointed.

“We all know the meaning behind the expression ‘love is blind’. This song is about passing the point of being blinded by love - being a fool over someone. It’s about realising that no matter how crazy in love you are with somebody, it’s not always enough of a reason to stay. All your heart wants is to stay, but your mind knows it’s time to go. So you’re still there asking yourself, can we be fools again?”- Cronicle

CRONICLE is the new solo project from Melanie Mohlkert. Previous fans would find Mohlkert channelling all her energy and pain in the punk-pop band Tantrum to Blind- who found themselves thrust into the limelight of touring and performing on MTV. Mohlkert now moves into her own spotlight with this fresh new project where she explores new ground in future R&B and trap, all the while maintaining her roots in the spirit of rock.
