"Flirty Masochist" - Maisie May | Review

“Flirty Masochist” is the perfect track to close out brat summer.

As someone who’s only recently gotten into more house and club music, especially thanks to none other than Charli XCX herself, this track immediately caught my attention due to its similarity. The snare-like sound at the beginning drew me in, and the distortion and catchy beat kept me hooked. It’s infectious and honestly difficult to turn off - and of course, it went STRAIGHT to my house music playlist (and maybe my Brat one too!)

Maisie May, having recently made the move from NYC to LA, is an artist by day and a server by night. Since her move in 2023, she has written, recorded, and released her first EP ‘2much2give’. She also just released her second EP ‘Flirty Masochist’! Be sure to give it a listen - I know I will!
