“Dead To Me” is an indie-pop song for a romantic movie. Avery’s voice brings you in the first few seconds. It’s quiet, soft, and fragile, like a glass vase. But it compels us to tune into her vocals and music. Next to Avery’s voice, the piano is the supporting cast of the song. While it’s the main instrument, it gets you to focus more on the vocals (main and background) than anything else.

“Dead To Me” fits a montage for a trip down memory lane scene in a movie or TV show. It also suits radio plays and chill, soft, and slow playlists. “Dead To Me” carries a vibe similar to songs by Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Gracie Abrams. While the music production is not as dramatic as Rodrigo’s “Vampire”, the lyrics' storytelling still packs a punch that makes the listeners relate more to the song.

If you love indie-pop or are a fan of Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, or Gracie Abrams, give “Dead to Me” a listen. You won’t regret it.
