”Daisies”-Elise Road | Review

Elise Road kicks off summer with her chilled feel-good RnB track, “Daisies.”

The artist chose 'Daisies' to symbolize the physicality of being in someone's presence. This song will make you feel as if you are walking through grassy fields and the sun is beaming and you want to lay with the flowers and be one with nature. Her vocals are breathtaking as you feel her passion and as if she is giving you a warm hug. The song is for anyone living through the quarantine, a long-distance relationship, or someone you just haven't seen in a while.

Elise Road originates from San Antonio, Texas. At the age of sixteen, she started writing music that embodied inspiration from her childhood. She is inspired by the ballads of R&B mogul Baby Face and the beats and blues of the queen of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu. Road’s vocals are soothing to the ear as she pours her heart out into every note. She delivers her signature vocals with a jazzy undertone alongside a soulful vibrato. Road’s style is similar to other artists such as Tori Kelly, Alicia Keys, and Alina Baraz.

Road has an upcoming project that comes from the desire of wanting to express what she has to say while whole-heartedly delivering what she is feeling. She will take you on a journey of what it means to come into one’s own, telling stories of others as well as herself. Her music will leave a lasting impression of hope and optimism. It will embody the classic feel of R&B/Soul while taking on a fresh perspective to help revolutionize today’s music scene.
