"Car Crash" - Low Lying Sun |Review

The reverb of the guitar pulls you into the newest anthemic single "Car Crash" by Low Lying Sun.

The ebb and flow of this track makes me want to just leave it on repeat. The twang of the guitar strums right through your chest, the vocals are a soothing contrast. There is the indie melancholy perfectly blended with raucous rock undertones. The song just keeps building, foot flat on the gas, flooring the song to its peak. The song feels like an impending tragedy but you can't look away, you are stuck on the ride because you love the thrill.

Speaking about the new EP, they said, "This EP has been two years in the making so for it to be finally out feels almost surreal. We wanted our first release to represent what we envisage our ‘sound’ to be; an upbeat, melancholic style of alternative indie. Even though the songs were written at different times and in different places we felt that they shared a collective theme. I suppose they’re all love songs in a way, but marred by an apathetic grief."
